Inspired by the timeless artistry of Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, and Caravaggio, as well as the evocative photography of Dan Winters, Irving Penn, and Horst P. Horst, Detlef infuses his work with a blend of European influence and cultural depth.
Growing up in Nuremberg, Germany, and later taking a leap of faith moving to the Chicago metro area in 1997, Detlef established epigram studio a decade later. Focusing on portrait, headshot, and lifestyle photography, along with collaborations across various artistic mediums, he relocated to Fayetteville, AR in 2019 where he’s continuing his journey of creating inspiring visual art.
